Yes it is.
Another year.
This one is special.

Not just because I’m still here, though that counts too.
This year will mark my 5th year writing this blog.

5 years!
This September.

A lot has happened since then.
One hundred fifty-six posts to be exact.

And if you asked me what have I gained by doing this?
I’ve discovered I like to write. Learned about me, too.
Judging by the “likes” on FB, and the subscribers too, many of you read what I post.
And for that I am grateful.
Grateful for you.

Normally this time of year, I reflect on the last year, what I tried to accomplish and then announce my resolve to change the world.

This year will be different.
I’m giving up trying to change the world. It’s too big and it’s too hard.
No more.
I’m trying a different tactic.

I just want…
To change me.
To see again through a child’s eyes.
To laugh, more often.
To enjoy my loved ones – more each day.
To remember those who’ve gone before me.
To live more each day.
To simply love. More.
