i need a little inspiration…….

sometimes, like many others i suppose, when I need some inspiration or motivation or just some soothing, i often turn to music.

i know i’m not alone here…

some turn to art or visual stimuli, or writing perhaps. i’ve always had to experience the audio sensation….
oh if my hearing ever leaves me ……wait, what did you just say?

sometimes a particular song or melody would somehow just fit my mood – be it happy or, more often, sad, scared, feeling alone or abandoned.

there have been many compositions that have helped the healing over the years.

i guess music has always been a way to self express even if i never did compose a single verse or melody.

today i’m sharing a song, from a friend.
she said this one had helped her during some dark times in her life. a gift from above, her theme song if you will.

listening to it, i think i understand what she felt.
i felt it too.

often when we are trying to reach some resolution, we sometimes get stuck in a moment wondering,
will it pass?
soon? ever?
what’s next?
can i handle it?

the answer is:
always keep going.

but when we get stuck its often hard to see the light.
we need to grieve,
then heal,
before we can start again.

those that know me, when i would turn to a song … i’d play it endlessly.
to all of you who put up with my never ending “someone saved my life tonight” or “bennie and the jets” and many, many more,

many many thanks…

“…and if your way should falter along the stony pass
it’s just a moment, this time will pass.”*

here is the song she mentioned in her post.

thanks sherry t……
i like it too.

….and now you know why my blog posts have music videos

Thanks for all you insites. I so enjoy reading them. It’s always nice to see how other people think. Music is so inspirational and can heal a broken heart. I remember when I worked at St. Anthony’ Hospital, they played music I the burn unit, so you know the healing power.
