Videos

Most of you know I add videos at the end of the blog posts. I try to find a music vid that adds to the point of the article.

I said most of you because I’ve had some feedback from some readers.
It usually goes, “there’s a video attached?” That’s how I know.

Awhile back, I wrote that I’ve always turned to music as a sort of self expression.
Now I’m not saying I’m musically gifted. Oh I did play an musical instrument. The accordion. Not well, but I played it. My dad wanted me to play it. At first I thought it would be fun. Not cool, but fun.

I was all of 10 and it was heavy to carry. I also had to practice. I played about 3 years. Still have it too. I also dabbled with the harmonica. Still dabbling.

Back to the music. Sometimes I feel the music underscores the point of the post. Or I come across something that makes me laugh. So I attach it.

I was visiting my daughter in Arizona and I said to her, “So what did you think of the Karma article?” http://wp.me/p3VT6N-72

She liked it. (I so love getting positive feedback from loved ones!) Then I asked, “what did you think of the video?” “Good!” was the response. “Did you think it was funny?” I asked. “Uh….”

Well, she had looked at the video featuring Boy George but didn’t play it. She recognized the song and didn’t need to hear it again. My whole point was to show sometimes the second time around Karma can bite you. So the video was the the song “Karma Chameleon” sung by a heavy metal band. I thought it hilarious! She laughed too, after I made her watch it.

Then we spent the next hour watching and laughing at videos! We bonded, again!

So, I want to ask you – What music – songs or videos, parodies too, would you suggest I include with my posts. I promise a gift prize of some sort to the best suggestion. Or if you’ve liked one of the videos already published on this blog, let me know.

And to be somewhat fair , I’ll only accept suggestions one week to the day after the date of the post.

Here’s to you Niki!
