I know liars.
You know liars.
Ever meet someone who admits
to being a liar?
Didn’t think so.
We all justify what we say or do.
After all we’re doing it for the right reasons.
Or “My intentions were good, I just didn’t anticipate you would take offense.
I never meant that!”
Now it’s on you, not me.
Funny how we judge others by their actions, but for ourselves we explain our intentions.
Maybe it’s rationalizing but I think it’s simply lying.
We all long for “honest” debate.
Usually only as long as you agree with me.
After all we do know better, right?
Negotiating in life or the next labor contract there is a premium on being honest.
Not lying.

everyone is lying…
Even though you may never agree with me, I’m OK with that.
Your reality, perspective, position, background, etc. etc. is different from mine.
Doesn’t mean you (or I) are right.
Bottom line, it’s really not about being always right.
In reaching your resolution, it’s all about getting to common ground.
